Zoster is a music band from Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, founded in the autumn of 2000. Their sound blends reggae, alternative rock, ska, blues, and pop influences, creating a distinctive musical identity that carries messages of tolerance, peace, progressive values, and affirmation — often engaging with social issues. The band was initiated by vocalist and songwriter Mario Knezović, and while the lineup has evolved over the years, Zoster has remained known for expressive lyrics and a genre-crossing approach.
The name “Zoster” is inspired by the name of a virus that appears when immunity weakens, metaphorically reflecting societal vulnerability and the need for change.
