The Zagreb Soloists Ensemle was founded in 1953, as an Ensemble of Radio Zagreb. The Ensemble, in more than 50 years of existence, still reflects the quality of playing at the highest level, which is regularly presented on prestigious international concert stages.
The Ensemble has performed over 3500 concerts worldwide until this very day – receiving public recognition and critical acclaim at the world’s most prestigious venues.
The ensemble’s extensive repertoire includes baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary pieces, with special attention given to the works of Croatian composers – both earlier and younger generations. Zagreb Soloists’ vast discography can be heard on over 70 albums. They have collaborated with numerous musicians. The Ensemble is a recipient of several prestigious awards. From autumn 2011 the Ensemble is playing under the artistic leadership of Marc Coppey, one of the world’s leading cellists.
