Of Monsters And Men

Of Monsters and Men is an Icelandic indie folk rock band formed in 2010 in Garðabær, Iceland. The band members include Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir (vocals and guitar), Ragnar Þórhallsson (vocals and guitar), Brynjar Leifsson (guitar), Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson (drums), and Kristján Páll Kristjánsson (bass guitar). The band is known for its blend of melodic folk influences, indie rock, and strong vocal harmonies. Their debut album My Head Is an Animal was released in 2011 and brought them international fame, especially with the hit single “Little Talks.” The album achieved significant success on music charts in the US and Europe and earned them numerous awards. Afterwards, Of Monsters and Men continued their career by releasing their second album Beneath the Skin in 2015, which confirmed their status as one of the leading indie folk bands. Their third album, Fever Dream from 2019, introduced a more modern and experimental sound, including electronic elements. The band is known for energetic live performances and their popularity at major music festivals worldwide, including Coachella and Lollapalooza. Their music is often featured in films, TV shows, and commercials, further expanding their influence on popular culture.
