Neda Ukraden is a Croatian singer of Serbian descent, born in Glavina Donja near Imotski. She began her music career in 1967 and has since become one of the most recognized singers in the former Yugoslavia. Her music includes genres such as pop-folk, pop, and dance. She is known for hits like “Zora je,” “Šaj, šaj,” and “Ponoć je.” Over the course of her career, she released more than 30 albums and her songs have marked generations. In addition to music, Neda earned degrees in law, philology, and English from the University of Sarajevo. During the war, she moved to Belgrade and also spent some time living in Vienna. Her 2022 autobiography offers insights into her life, career, and personal experiences. She remains active in the music scene and continues to perform across the region.
