Michel Teló is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actor, born on January 21, 1981, in Medianeira, Paraná. His musical journey began in childhood when he performed in his school choir at the age of six. At ten, his father gifted him an accordion, and by twelve, he formed his first band, "Guri," playing traditional music. Soon after, he joined Grupo Tradição, where he served as the lead vocalist from 1997 to 2008.
In 2009, Teló launched his solo career with the album Balada Sertaneja, but it was in 2011 that he gained international fame with the hit "Ai Se Eu Te Pego." The song became a global sensation, reaching number one on music charts in over 20 countries, including Brazil, Spain, Italy, and France. Its music video on YouTube has garnered over a billion views. Teló also performed an English version of the song titled "Oh, If I Catch You."
Beyond his music career, Teló served as a coach on the Brazilian versions of The Voice Brasil and The Voice Kids Brasil from 2015 to 2023, leading his team to victory in eight out of eleven seasons.
