Lidija Bajuk is a Croatian singer-songwriter, poet, ethnologist, and anthropologist born in Čakovec. Her artistic and academic career centers around the exploration and revival of Croatian traditional heritage, especially the music, mythology, and oral literature of the Međimurje region.
She began her musical journey in the late 1980s and quickly became recognized for blending folk elements with original songwriting. Her breakout came with the album Zora djevojka, followed by a series of projects that fused traditional themes with modern sensibilities, including Kneja, Tira les, Luna, Zipčica, and Prelja.
