Korn

Korn is an American nu metal band formed in 1993 in Bakersfield, California. The lineup consists of Jonathan Davis (vocals), James "Munky" Shaffer (guitar), Brian "Head" Welch (guitar), Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass), and Ray Luzier (drums). David Silveria was the original drummer until 2007. Korn pioneered the nu metal genre by blending elements of heavy metal, hip-hop, and industrial music. Their self-titled debut album (1994) achieved cult status, while Life Is Peachy (1996) and Follow the Leader (1998) solidified their commercial success. Singles like "Freak on a Leash" and "Got the Life" became anthems of a generation. The band is known for their emotional lyrics, introspective themes, and energetic live performances. Korn has won numerous awards, including Grammy Awards, and has sold over 35 million albums worldwide. They continue to actively tour and release music, with their latest album Requiem (2022) serving as a testament to their longevity and influence in the music scene.
