Indira Levak, born Indira Vladić on September 15, 1973, in Županja, Croatia, is a Croatian singer widely known for her work as the lead vocalist of the dance music group Colonia. Her mixed heritage — with a Croatian father and Bosniak mother — and her early exposure to music helped shape her artistic journey. She was named after the Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and music became part of her life at a young age when she joined the local brass band at twelve, where she played clarinet for thirteen years. During her school years, she also formed a band with friends, laying the groundwork for her future in music.
Indira’s professional music career took off in 1996 when she became the lead singer of Colonia, a group that would become one of the most popular dance acts in Croatia and the wider region. With Colonia, she contributed to numerous albums and hit songs, gaining recognition for her dynamic vocal presence and the group’s energetic sound. She was first married to Narcis Mujkić and later to Miroslav Levak, with whom she was married for nearly eleven years before their divorce in 2024.
