IDEM is the solo project of Croatian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Antun Aleksa, known for his work with the bands Porto Morto, Trophy Jump, and JeboTon Ansambl. As IDEM, Aleksa blends elements of post-punk and indie pop with personal lyrics in Croatian.
The project began in 2023 with the single "ŠtetaŠtetaŠteta," which quickly attracted attention from audiences and critics. This was followed by singles "Potopi ovaj brod" and "Par put godišnje." The debut album, poyy, was released the same year and immediately became a cult release on the local indie scene.
IDEM stands out with a sincere approach, filled with feelings of nostalgia, frustration, and humor. His lyrics often address everyday situations, youthful dilemmas, and social themes, while the sound combines lo-fi aesthetics with melodic pop elements.
In 2024, IDEM won three Rock&Off awards, including Album of the Year for poyy, Artist of the Year, and the "Big Bang of the Year" award. His second album, CIAO, was released in November of the same year.
Live performances have become distinctive, and the band has gained numerous fans across Croatia and the region. IDEM is recognized as one of the most exciting new artists on the local music scene.
