Haris Džinović, born on September 26, 1951, in Sarajevo, is a celebrated folk and pop-folk singer from the Balkan region. He launched his musical career in 1981 by forming Sar e Roma, recording three albums before embarking on a solo career in 1989. Known for his dynamic performances and signature hat, Haris has earned tremendous popularity and respect across his long-standing musical journey.
In 2014, he married fashion designer Melina Galić (Melina Džinović), to whom he'd been romantically linked for around a decade. Their wedding took place on a luxury yacht off the coast of Dubrovnik. They had two children together — daughter Djina and son Kan. Despite a 29-year age difference, Haris frequently described their marriage as built on deep mutual respect and unwavering support.
The couple divorced at the end of 2023, ending nearly two decades together. Haris has spoken candidly about the emotional impact of the separation, though he remains grateful for their shared history and the family they built.
