Biography - Guns N' Roses
Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band formed in 1985 in Los Angeles. Founded by Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin, the classic lineup included Slash (lead guitar), Duff McKagan (bass), Steven Adler (drums), and Stradlin (rhythm guitar). Their debut album, Appetite for Destruction (1987), became one of the best-selling rock albums ever, featuring hits like "Sweet Child o' Mine" and "Welcome to the Jungle". This was followed by the successful albums Use Your Illusion I & II (1991). The band is known for their energetic performances and turbulent interpersonal dynamics. After a lengthy hiatus, original members Rose, Slash, and McKagan reunited in 2016 for the "Not in This Lifetime" tour, which became one of the most successful tours in history. Guns N' Roses were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and remain one of the most influential rock bands of all time.
