Goran Bare (born December 16, 1965, in Vinkovci, Croatia) is a Croatian rock musician, best known as the founder and frontman of the band Majke. He began his career in 1980 with the band Duo debili and formed Majke in 1984. Their debut album, Razum i bezumlje (1990), was acclaimed as the rock album of the year. Despite success, Bare faced personal tragedies, including the loss of band members in a 1989 car accident and struggles with heroin addiction. After the death of his wife Mirjana in 1995, he was diagnosed with manic depression . He continued his musical journey with the band Plaćenici and solo projects, releasing albums like Teške boje (2011) and Nuspojave (2018), earning several Porin awards . His music, infused with personal experiences, remains influential in the Croatian rock scene.
