Gojira is a French metal band formed in 1996 in Bayonne, originally under the name Godzilla. The lineup consists of brothers Joe Duplantier (vocals, guitar) and Mario Duplantier (drums), Christian Andreu (guitar), and Jean-Michel Labadie (bass). The band is known for its technically complex music blending death metal, progressive metal, and groove metal, along with lyrics focused on ecological and spiritual themes. Their debut album Terra Incognita was released in 2001, and they gained international acclaim with From Mars to Sirius (2005) and The Way of All Flesh (2008). Later albums such as Magma (2016) and Fortitude (2021) brought them wider recognition and Grammy nominations. Today, Gojira is considered one of the most important metal bands in the world, celebrated for their powerful messages, intricate arrangements, and intense live performances.
Gojira na Šalati 27.7.2025. održala je moćan, heavy koncert. Godinu dana nakon nastupa na olimpijskim igrama u Parizu imali smo čast čuti izvedbu pjesme Mea culpa i zakrvariti se crvenim konfetama. Uz jake rifove najboljih njihovih pjesama oprostili smo se i pjesmom posvećenom Ozzyu. Sat i pol svirke je preletjelo u tren, bilo je veličanstveno i kako je Joe Duplantier rekao vratit će se skoro. Može i na Šalatu ponovno.
