Five Finger Death Punch is an American heavy metal/hard rock band formed in Las Vegas in 2005. The current lineup includes Ivan Moody (vocals), Zoltan Bathory (rhythm guitar), Andy James (lead guitar), Chris Kael (bass), and Charlie Engen (drums). Their debut album The Way of the Fist was released in 2007, marking their entry on the Billboard 200. Subsequent albums like War Is the Answer (2009), American Capitalist (2011), The Wrong Side of Heaven... (2013), and Got Your Six (2015) brought them commercial success with gold and platinum certifications.
AfterLife, released in 2022, was the first album featuring Andy James replacing Jason Hook on lead guitar. It achieved great commercial success, entering the Billboard top 10 and topping the hard rock chart, becoming their seventh album to do so — a record in the genre.
In 2024, a digital deluxe edition of AfterLife was released with four bonus tracks — three acoustic versions of “Judgement Day,” “The End,” and “Thanks For Asking,” plus a new song “This Is the Way” featuring legendary rapper DMX. The single reached #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, giving the band their eleventh consecutive #1 hit and DMX his chart debut.
Zoltan Bathory revealed the band is actively working on their tenth studio album, planned for release in 2025. They also announced a summer US tour with Marilyn Manson and Slaughter To Prevail, and a European tour supporting Metallica on their M72 world tour.
Five Finger Death Punch is known for energetic live performances, blending heavy riffs with melodic structure, and a broad range of collaborations, including with DMX, Brantley Gilbert, Brian May, and Rob Zombie.
