The TranziT Festival presents non-institutional European and domestic performing artists through a series of smaller and original formats that resonate with today's audience and socio-technological circumstances. The program includes performances, workshops, labs and participatory forms in theatrical and non-theatrical spaces. The event is held over several months and aims to create a space for exchange, transformation and breaking down boundaries - personal, collective and formal. The body, movement and physical action are often the basis of expression, and the program reflects the energy of today's times. The festival is led by artistic director Ivana Peranić and produced by the artistic organization KRILA - Creative Laboratory of Contemporary Theatre in Rijeka. In addition to the performances, the festival brings moderated conversations with artists and the audience, shorter workshops for the audience related to the performance, and research laboratories that include professional and cultural cooperation and networking of local and visiting artists. Entrance to the workshops for the audience is free with a purchased ticket and mandatory prior reservation at krila.rezervacije@gmail.com, and for participation in the research labs, applications are via an online form and include a registration fee. The festival takes place in Rijeka in theatrical venues such as HKD on Sušak and Filodrammatica and in non-theatrical venues such as squares, streets and others depending on the works and artists presented by the festival. Since 2024, it has been collaborating with the Choreoscope - Barcelona Dance Film Festival and brings an evening of excellent dance films to Rijeka.
