Emina Jahović, born Emilija Jahović on January 15, 1982, in Novi Pazar (then Yugoslavia, now Serbia), is a Serbian-Turkish singer-songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur. Her musical journey began in 1999 when she won the Zlatna staza youth festival in Montenegro. Her debut album Tačka (2002), featuring the song "U, la-la" composed by Dino Merlin, gained her regional recognition.
Subsequent albums—including Radije ranije (2005), Vila (2009), Metamorfoza (2014), Dalje (2018), and Svitanje (2025)—secured her status as a leading pop artist in the region. Her Vila album featured big hits like "Još ti se nadam," "Med," "Pile moje," and the duet "La gitana" with Flamingosi. In 2018 she released Dalje, which included the hit single "Limunada" ft. Milica Todorović, reaching over 80 million views.
She is also known for her acting role as Lale Ilgaz in the Turkish TV series Lale Devri (2010–2014), which aired in over 30 countries. In 2013 she served as a coach on the first season of X Factor Adria, and in 2014 released Metamorfoza, which sold tens of thousands of copies.
Emina founded the cosmetics brand Yaemina Beauty and launched perfumes Closer and Swan City. She has lived between Belgrade and Istanbul, holds dual citizenship, and has two sons with ex-husband Mustafa Sandal (married 2008–2018).
Her music blends contemporary pop, R&B, and Balkan folk, and she is celebrated for her reflective and emotionally charged songwriting, as well as her ability to navigate multiple cultural landscapes. She continues to perform live, release new music, and actively lead in television and business endeavors.
