Detour is a Croatian electro‑acoustic pop band from Zagreb, founded in 2006 by musician, producer, and guitarist Nenad Borgudan, evolving out of the group Yammat. Their music blends contemporary electropop with the elegance of 1950s–60s French Riviera aesthetics.
Their debut album Detour (2006) marked the beginning of their signature sound, followed by TV (2009) and the critically acclaimed A što ak’ ja… (2014), which won Best Pop Album at the Porin awards. Tracks like “Mjesec,” “Daleko,” “Snijeg,” and “Srce veliko” became defining hits, with vocalists such as Maja Posavec and Gina Victorija lending distinct character to their evolving identity.
In 2023 they released the ambitious album Master Blaster, marked by apocalyptic themes and social commentary, including standout songs like “Zaljubila sam se,” “Plešem sama,” “Slavlje,” “Hawaii,” and “Nekad je bilo bolje.” The album and its live presentation in Zagreb’s Boogaloo reaffirmed Detour's standing as a leading force in regional pop music.
While the band's personnel has changed over time, Nenad Borgudan remains the creative core. Vocals have shifted between singers, allowing Detour to maintain a flexible and innovative artistic vision rather than relying on a single front-person.
Renowned for their meticulous stage design, emotive performances, and a combination of warmth and sophistication, Detour continues to captivate audiences across the Balkans with fresh, emotionally engaging pop music.
