Damir Kedžo

Damir Kedžo was born on 24 May 1987 in Omišalj, on the island of Krk, Croatia. He began his musical journey in 2003 by participating in Story Supernova Music Talents, later joining the Croatian boy band Saša, Tin i Kedžo, and eventually launching a solo career. His breakthrough came in 2016 when he won the third season of Tvoje lice zvuči poznato (“Your Face Sounds Familiar”), and soon after topped the Croatian airplay charts with the single “Sve u meni se budi.” The ballad “Srce mi umire za njom” won the Zagreb Festival and the Cesarica Award. Hits like “Poljubi me sad,” “Vidi se izdaleka,” “Divlji vjetre,” and “Nedodirljiva” established him as Croatia’s most streamed male artist in 2019. Internationally, Kedžo won the Grand Prix at the Slavianski Bazaar in Belarus and the New Wave Festival in Sochi. His most notable recent moment was winning Dora 2020 with “Divlji vjetre,” earning him the ticket to Eurovision 2020 in Rotterdam—an event ultimately cancelled due to the pandemic. Damir Kedžo is known for his emotional vocal tone, gripping melodies, and heartfelt lyrics. He is recognized for his integrity, stage presence, and consistent contributions to the Croatian pop music landscape.
