Bruno Mars, born Peter Gene Hernandez in Honolulu, is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Raised performing in his parents’ band impersonating Elvis Presley, he absorbed diverse musical influences including folk, funk, soul, and reggae. After moving to Los Angeles in 2003, he gained recognition writing and producing hits for artists like Flo Rida, B.o.B., and CeeLo Green with the production team The Smeezingtons.
