Black Eyed Peas

Black Eyed Peas are an American hip-hop and dance-pop group formed in Los Angeles in 1995. The founding members—will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo—were later joined by Fergie in 2001, leading to international success. Initially focused on alternative hip hop with their albums Behind the Front (1998) and Bridging the Gap (2000), they transitioned to a more mainstream sound with Elephunk (2003), releasing the hit single “Where Is the Love?”. Their popularity soared further with Monkey Business (2005), featuring tracks like “Let’s Get It Started” and “Don’t Phunk with My Heart”, and peaked with The E.N.D. (2009), producing chart-toppers “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling”—the latter topping the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks. Fergie departed from the group in 2018, with J. Rey Soul stepping in during live performances. The trio continued releasing albums, including Masters of the Sun Vol. 1 (2018), Translation (2020), and Elevation (2022), incorporating Latin influences and high-profile collaborations. They remain active performers and are currently exploring cutting-edge stage innovations like an interactive AI vocalist named Vida.
