Aleksandra Prijović, known affectionately as Prija, is one of the top pop-folk artists in the former Yugoslav region. She began singing as a teenager, recording her first songs at age 13, and rose to fame after finishing fourth on Zvezde Granda in 2013. Her breakout hit "Za nas kasno je" became one of the songs of the year, followed by a string of hits including "Totalna anestezija", "Senke", and "Ko si ti".
She has released three studio albums to date: Testament (2017), Zvuk tišine (2022), and Devet života (2023). The latest album propelled her to unprecedented success, selling out multiple regional venues—including five shows at Zagreb Arena and three at Belgrade’s Štark Arena—as well as performing in Germany’s biggest hall and holding her first diaspora concert in Chicago. Her “Od Istoka Do Zapada” tour featured over 60 concerts and broke attendance records across Southeast Europe.
Born in Sombor and raised in Beli Manastir, she displayed musical talent from an early age. She is married to Filip Živojinović, son of a renowned sports and entertainment couple, and they share a son named Aleksandar. Prija is celebrated for her soulful voice, dynamic stage presence, and genuine connection with her audience, blending contemporary pop with traditional folk. Her ongoing career continues to redefine the regional music scene with authenticity, energy, and heart.
