Aleksandra Kovač (born 30 September 1972 in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian singer-songwriter, composer, music producer, and TV personality. The daughter of renowned composer Kornelije Kovač and older sister of Kristina Kovač, she first rose to fame as part of the pop duo K2 in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The pair recorded albums aimed at the Spanish market before Aleksandra pursued a solo career in 2001 with the EP You and Me. Her debut album Med i mleko (2006) achieved multi-platinum success and earned her the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Adriatic Act.
As a composer, she creates music for film, television, and theater. She received a BAFTA Scotland New Talent nomination for Separate Lives (2015) and scored acclaimed productions like the TV series Ubice mog oca and documentaries featured at IDFA and BELDOCS. Aleksandra is also a music educator, mentor on X Factor Adria, co-founder of RAproduction, philanthropist, founder of “Belgrade Voice” children’s choir, and holds an MSc in Composition for Screen from the University of Edinburgh.
