Afrojack, born Nick van de Wall, is one of the most influential figures in modern electronic dance music. Originally from the Netherlands, he began producing music in his teens and founded his own label, Wall Recordings, in 2007. His early success came with the single In Your Face, but it was Take Over Control (2010), featuring Eva Simons, that launched him to international fame.
He went on to co-produce global hits such as Give Me Everything with Pitbull, and Hey Mama with David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Bebe Rexha. In 2014, he released his debut studio album Forget the World. Known for his versatility, Afrojack’s style includes house, big room, and progressive house. In 2011, he won a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording and has been repeatedly ranked in DJ Mag’s Top 10 DJs list.
Beyond music production, Afrojack is a long-time resident DJ at XS Nightclub in Las Vegas and the co-founder of LDH Europe, a management and label company focused on supporting emerging artists. His performance during the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 grand final, featuring a youth orchestra and guest artists, reached an audience of over 200 million viewers. Most recently, he introduced his techno alias Kapuchon, reflecting his ongoing commitment to creative evolution.
