5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) is an Australian pop rock band formed in Sydney in 2011. The members are Luke Hemmings (vocals, rhythm guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar, vocals), Calum Hood (bass guitar, vocals), and Ashton Irwin (drums, vocals). The band began their career by posting acoustic covers of popular songs on YouTube, gaining early recognition and a dedicated following.
