Wiener Stadthalle is located at Roland Rainer Platz in Vienna’s 15th district. Construction began in 1953, and the venue opened in 1957, designed by renowned architect Roland Rainer. Over the years, the complex expanded to include Hall D, Hall E, and Hall F. Hall D, the main arena, accommodates up to 16,000 visitors; Hall E is a smaller multi-purpose hall for about 1,500 people; and Hall F, opened in 2006, seats approximately 2,000 in theatre-style arrangement.
The Stadthalle hosts over 300 events annually and attracts about one million visitors. It serves as a versatile hub for world-class concerts, theatrical and dance performances, sporting and cultural events, trade fairs, conferences, and conventions. The halls can be used independently or combined for larger productions. Halls D and F offer advanced technical facilities, including professional lighting, sound systems, VIP areas, dressing rooms, and accessibility features.
As Austria’s largest event complex and ranked among Europe’s top ten arenas, Wiener Stadthalle is a landmark venue that bridges Vienna’s architectural heritage with cutting-edge event capabilities and diverse programming for all audiences.
