Starsailor is a British alternative rock band formed in 2000 in Warrington, England. The band members are James Walsh (vocals and guitar), James Stelfox (bass), Ben Byrne (drums), and Barry Westhead (keyboards). Their musical style is characterized by emotive vocals and a blend of Britpop and indie rock.
They debuted with the album "Love Is Here" in 2001, which reached number two on the UK Albums Chart. This was followed by "Silence Is Easy" (2003), "On the Outside" (2005), and "All the Plans" (2009). After a hiatus, the band reunited in 2014 and released the compilation "Good Souls: The Greatest Hits" in 2015. Their fifth studio album, "All This Life," was released in 2017, followed by their sixth, "Where the Wild Things Grow," in 2024.
Starsailor is known for hits like "Silence Is Easy" and "Four to the Floor," the latter becoming a number one single in France. Their music has been featured in films and television series, including "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater" and "La Casa de Papel."
