Parni valjak is a Croatian pop-rock band formed in 1975 in Zagreb, following the breakup of Grupa 220. The founders were guitarists Husein Hasanefendić "Hus" and Jurica Pađen, vocalist Aki Rahimovski, bassist Zlatko Miksić "Fuma", and drummer Srećko Antonioli. The band quickly gained popularity with energetic performances and hits like "Lutka za bal" and "Jesen u meni". During the 1980s, Parni valjak became one of the most important rock bands in the former Yugoslavia, known for quality albums and emotional ballads. After a brief hiatus in 1988 and disbanding in 2005, the band reunited in 2009. Following the death of Aki Rahimovski in 2022, the band continued with new vocalist Igor Drvenkar. Parni valjak remains a symbol of the Croatian rock scene with a rich musical legacy.
