Mumford & Sons is a British folk rock band formed in London in 2007. The members are Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Ted Dwane, and until 2021, Winston Marshall. The band is known for blending traditional folk music with modern rock elements, resulting in their distinctive sound and widespread popularity.
Their debut album Sigh No More (2009) brought them international success due to its emotional lyrics and energetic performances. The follow-up album Babel (2012) won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, solidifying their place in the global music scene. With albums Wilder Mind (2015) and Delta (2018), the band evolved towards a stronger rock sound, incorporating electric guitars and drums.
After a brief hiatus, Mumford & Sons released Rushmere in 2025, returning to their folk roots and winning the hearts of their fans once again. Although Winston Marshall left the band in 2021, the remaining members continue to create music and perform worldwide. Mumford & Sons have made a lasting impact on contemporary music with their emotional approach and authentic sound.
