Biography - Morcheeba
Morcheeba is a British band formed in 1995 in London, known for blending trip-hop, downtempo, electronica, and pop. The group was founded by brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey and vocalist Skye Edwards, whose distinctive voice became the band's hallmark. Their debut album, Who Can You Trust? (1996), earned them recognition in the trip-hop scene, followed by successful albums like Big Calm (1998) and Fragments of Freedom (2000), featuring hits such as "The Sea" and "Rome Wasn't Built in a Day". After parting ways with Skye in 2003, the band collaborated with other vocalists, including Daisy Martey, before Skye rejoined in 2010. Paul Godfrey left the band in 2014, with Ross and Skye continuing as a duo. Their 2021 album, Blackest Blue, showcases their ability to blend genres and remain relevant in the music scene.
