Mia Dimšić was born on November 7, 1992, in Osijek, Croatia. She is a pop singer-songwriter who graduated in German and English studies from the University of Osijek. Her musical career began in 2014, when she joined the tamburitza band Džentlmeni on their tour across the US and Canada.
In 2015, she released her debut single Budi mi blizu, followed by her debut album Život nije siv in 2017. The album soared to become the best-selling record in Croatia that year, earning her accolades for Best Young Artist and multiple Porin awards. She also released a Christmas-themed album Božićno jutro the same year.
Her second studio album, Sretan put (2019), featured the hit duet "Sva blaga ovog svijeta" with Marko Tolja, topping the charts. Subsequent albums include Monologue (2023) and Društvena pravila (2024), further cementing her status as one of Croatia’s leading artists.
In February 2022, Mia won the Croatian selection Dora with her song Guilty Pleasure, earning the opportunity to represent Croatia at Eurovision 2022 in Turin. Despite a compelling performance, she narrowly missed the final. Since October 2024, she serves as a coach on The Voice Kids Croatia.
Her musical influences range from Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, and Norah Jones to Croatian legends like Gibonni and Oliver Dragojević. Mia is celebrated for her emotive vocals, honest songwriting, and her fusion of pop, country pop, and folk pop styles.
