Marko Škugor is a distinguished Croatian tenor and pop singer from Šibenik, holding a master’s degree in economics. He started his career in traditional klapa ensembles like Maslina and Kampanel, and in 2013 he represented Croatia at Eurovision as the lead tenor of Klapa s mora with the song “Mižerja.” His transition into a solo career in Dalmatian pop quickly established him as a leading regional artist.
His solo breakthrough came in 2014 when he won the Grand Prix at the Split Festival alongside Alen Nižetić and Duje Ćoco with “Devet slova jedne riči.” Later successes include audience awards at the Dalmatian Chanson event and a win at Split Festival in 2017 with “Ka’ dica.” His heartfelt duet with the late Oliver Dragojević, “Samo s tobom sam upoznao ljubav,” became a wedding favorite.
Known for powerful ballads and a rich tenor voice, Škugor remains true to his Mediterranean musical roots. A devoted husband and father of two, he lives in Šibenik, balancing music with running a local jiu-jitsu club. His life combines artistic passion, athletic dedication, and strong family values.
