Marijana Mikulić was born on December 6, 1981, in Široki Brijeg, where she spent her early years. She completed elementary school and gymnasium, along with secondary music school with a focus on theoretical studies. In 2000, she enrolled in law school, but after several years of study, she decided to change direction and pursue a career in acting. She subsequently enrolled at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb and graduated in 2008 under the mentorship of Damir Muntić, obtaining her formal acting training.
Marijana began building her acting career during her studies, securing notable roles on Croatian television and in film. She appeared in several prominent TV series, gaining recognition for her performances in productions such as Ponos Ratkajevih, Stipe u gostima, and Glas naroda. On the big screen, she played roles in films including Modna napetost and Ne gledaj mi u pijat, showcasing her versatility and strong screen presence.
In addition to her film and television work, Marijana has made significant contributions to the theatre. She has performed in productions by various theatre companies, including ITD Teatar, Epilog Teatar, and the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Since 2012, she has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Gradsko kazalište Trešnja, a well-known theatre focused on children’s and family productions. At Trešnja, she has appeared in numerous beloved plays such as Maša i Božić and Postolar i vrag, further establishing herself as a respected stage actress.
