Klapa Amfora is a Croatian female vocal ensemble founded in Dubrovnik in 1998. Since its formation, the group has been dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional Dalmatian klapa singing, developing a recognizable musical identity based on multipart vocal harmonies and Mediterranean musical heritage.
Throughout its long career, Klapa Amfora has performed at numerous festivals, concerts, and cultural events in Croatia and abroad. A particularly important part of their artistic journey has been their appearances at the Festival of Dalmatian Klapas in Omiš, the most important klapa music festival, where they achieved notable results and established themselves as respected performers within the genre. Their repertoire includes traditional Dalmatian songs as well as contemporary compositions adapted to the klapa style.
The ensemble is known for emotional interpretations, refined vocal harmonies, and an authentic approach to Dalmatian musical heritage. Their songs are often inspired by the sea, love, Mediterranean life, and the cultural traditions of Dubrovnik. Over the years, they collaborated with various musicians and participated in projects promoting Croatian vocal and traditional music.
In addition to concert performances, Klapa Amfora regularly takes part in humanitarian and cultural events, representing Dubrovnik and Dalmatian musical tradition through music. Their performances are characterized by elegance, warmth, and a strong sense of unity among the members.
Today, Klapa Amfora is regarded as one of the most recognizable female klapa ensembles from southern Croatia, with a long-standing presence and an important role on the Croatian klapa music scene.
