KaliKamo is a music collective bringing together musicians connected through experimental electronic music, dub culture, and improvisation. The group’s keyboards, analog synths, samplers, and loopers are handled by Roko Margeta, known for his work with KudiKamo?, Dunja Knebl, and Gnomad, while drums are played by Đuro Dobranić, who has collaborated with KudiKamo?, Je Veux, and Nemanja. Equipment setup and effects are managed by Dino Mudrić, while guitar, trombone, and saxophone are performed by Ognjen Zečević – Egoless, who also records, mixes, and produces the music. The vocal dimension of the project is led by Chakka Svraka through spoken word performances and heavily processed vocal textures.
The collective operates as a powerful and uninhibited five-piece ensemble that blends sound system culture, dub aesthetics, and experimental electronic music. Their sound is built around deep bass frequencies, the distorted energy of the French dub school, expansive synth passages, and highly precise drumming. Their performances incorporate loopers, samplers, melodica, and tar, creating layered and immersive live experiences.
KaliKamo is defined by a combination of refined production, improvisation, and strong live performance energy, while Chakka Svraka’s spoken word sections intensify the project’s psychedelic and narrative qualities. Their musical expression has been described as “hill-Pannonian weltschmerz in full color,” merging dancefloor energy with experimental sound and dub ritual atmosphere.
The project brings together diverse musical backgrounds and artistic approaches, developing a strong connection with audiences through concerts and sound system culture. KaliKamo creates music that belongs equally to club environments, improvisational sessions, and the contemporary alternative scene.
