Evanora Unlimited is the artistic name of American record producer and multidisciplinary artist Orion Sage Ohana from Oakland, California. Born on February 2, 2000, Ohana has been active since 2018. In addition to Evanora Unlimited, Ohana works under the aliases Marjorie W.C. Sinclair and housepett and was formerly a member of the collective Reptilian Club Boyz. Working as a producer, rapper, singer and songwriter, Ohana is associated with experimental pop, while the wider Evanora Unlimited project incorporates music, film, fashion and performance art.
Ohana grew up surrounded by music, as both of his parents were DJs. Through them, he was introduced to the underground rave scene at an early age and learned to use Ableton Live while still young. Before beginning to tour full-time as a musician, Ohana became involved in Oakland’s local underground scene around 2016. He attended shows carrying a camera from his video class at Berkeley High School, documenting performances, editing recaps and sending the footage to the artists involved. Through the network he developed, he became increasingly involved in music and video production and began organising underground shows and raves throughout the Bay Area.
In 2018, Ohana moved beyond producing for other artists and began developing a solo project under the name Evanora:Unlimited, followed shortly afterward by the Marjorie W.C. Sinclair project. The first full-length release as Evanora Unlimited, Lustful Expanse, was issued in 2020. It was followed by singles including “Limestone” featuring She Diamond, “Age of Information” featuring Taraneh and Ivy Knight, and “Sequoia Tide” featuring She Diamond and produced by Yves Tumor. Evanora Unlimited subsequently supported Yves Tumor on tours in 2022 and 2023, alongside Ecco2k and Pretty Sick. The second full-length Evanora Unlimited project, Perfect Answer, was released in February 2024.
Ohana was also a member of Reptilian Club Boyz until the collective disbanded in 2021, contributing through the Marjorie W.C. Sinclair project and the Housepett producer alias. Ohana describes Evanora:Unlimited as a project based on true events that combines erotic science fiction and religious horror through music, film, fashion and performance art. While the Evanora Unlimited project draws heavily from noise music, releases under the Marjorie W.C. Sinclair alias are more oriented toward Bay Area rap. This parallel approach allows Ohana to develop distinct musical identities while maintaining connections between experimental production, underground culture and multidisciplinary artistic work.
