Eagles of Death Metal

Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, formed in 1998. The band was founded by Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme. Despite the name suggesting death metal, their music blends garage rock, desert rock, and blues rock, often with a humorous and satirical tone. Their debut album Peace, Love, Death Metal was released in 2004 and introduced their energetic and playful sound. It was followed by Death by Sexy (2006), Heart On (2008), and Zipper Down (2015). Their live shows are known for their energy, spontaneity, and connection with the audience. The band gained global attention in 2015 when a terrorist attack occurred during their concert at the Bataclan theatre in Paris, resulting in 89 fatalities. The band members survived and later held memorial concerts and launched a humanitarian campaign to support the victims. Since then, they have continued performing and remain active on the international music scene. A new European tour has been announced for 2025, including a series of live performances and a residency in Los Angeles.
