Dženan Lončarević, born April 10, 1975 in Prijepolje, Serbia, is a prominent pop and pop-folk singer in the Balkans. He discovered his love for music early, teaching himself guitar as a child and later completing secondary music school in Sarajevo.
He began performing locally in Prijepolje before relocating to Belgrade in the early 2000s. His debut album Nikome ni reč (2007) brought him widespread recognition, thanks to the title track. Subsequent releases — Dobro je to (2009), Zdravo dušo (2011), No. 4 (2013), and Dva su koraka (2015) — produced many hits including “Laku noć,” “Pamuk usne,” “Dao sam ti srce,” “Cvete beli,” and “Odavde do neba.”
Renowned for his emotive delivery and strong audience connection, he regularly fills venues across the region. He holds a special bond with Sarajevo, where performances in packed arenas like Skenderija and open-air stages are followed with enthusiasm. He often closes shows with “Sarajevo ljubavi moja,” sung back by adoring crowds. Lončarević's live presence cements him as one of the most respected voices in the regional pop-folk scene.
He also competed in Beovizija 2019 with “Nema suza,” placing second. He has worked with other Balkan stars and headlined major solo concerts in venues such as Tašmajdan and Sava Centre. Still actively performing and releasing music, Lončarević continues to uphold high vocal standards and cultural impact in the regional music industry.
