Del Arno Band is a reggae group founded in Belgrade in 1986 by brothers Jovan and Vladan Matić. They are the first original roots reggae band to emerge from the former Yugoslavia and one of the longest-standing reggae acts in the region.
Their sound blends classic reggae rhythms, deep bass lines, and pop-rock influences, combined with socially conscious lyrics and a message of peace and unity. Their debut album Igraj dok te ne sruše was released in 1989, followed by Godina majmuna (1992), Geneza (1993), and the landmark Reggaeneracija (1995), which remains their most iconic release. After Vreme vode in 2006, they returned from a lengthy hiatus in 2019 with Ako ne znaš šta da radiš.
Over their four-decade career, the band has included over 150 members, featuring notable collaborators such as Hornsman Coyote (Nemanja Kojić). They are celebrated for their high-energy, interactive live shows, often performing with 10–12 musicians and delivering vibrant, positive performances across the Balkans and beyond.
To mark their 30th anniversary, they released the Igraj dok te ne sruše – 30 godina box set. In 2025, marking both their 40th anniversary and 30 years since Reggaeneracija, they performed a milestone concert in Niš featuring several new songs and a full ensemble.
Del Arno Band continues to stand as the emblematic voice of reggae in Southeast Europe, using music to promote unity, activism, and cultural expression.
