Anđela Ignjatović, professionally known as Breskvica, is a Serbian singer who has quickly established herself as one of the leading artists of the new generation of regional pop and pop-folk music. Born on 19 May 2001 in Belgrade, Serbia, she began her professional music career in 2019. From the very beginning, she attracted a large audience with a contemporary musical style that blends pop, urban influences, and folk elements, creating a distinctive sound that has made her one of the region's most recognisable young performers.
Breskvica made her recording debut in 2019 with the single “Utopia.” Shortly afterwards, she rose to prominence through a series of successful collaborations with rapper Voyage, who was also her partner at the time. Their songs accumulated millions of views across digital platforms and helped establish both artists among the most popular names of the emerging regional music scene. Their success was recognised with the YouTube Star Award at the 2020 Music Awards Ceremony.
Following the end of their collaboration in 2021, Breskvica continued to develop her solo career. Her single “Srećan put” marked the beginning of a new artistic chapter, followed by a succession of commercially successful releases. Among her biggest hits are “Sava i Dunav,” recorded with Henny, and “Drift,” a collaboration with Teodora Džehverović that reached the top of the Billboard Croatia Songs chart.
Throughout her career, Breskvica has continued to expand her musical style, combining contemporary pop-folk with modern production and urban influences. She has appeared at major music festivals, including Belgrade Music Week, where she incorporated traditional Serbian folk songs into her performances, demonstrating her interest in connecting modern popular music with cultural heritage.
In 2024, she competed in Serbia's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Gnezdo orlovo,” finishing as the runner-up after winning the public vote. The same year also marked the release of her debut studio album, representing another important milestone in her rapidly developing career.
Today, Breskvica is regarded as one of the most successful young artists in Serbia and the wider Balkan region. Thanks to millions of online streams, a strong presence on digital platforms, and her distinctive combination of pop and folk influences, she has built a loyal audience and secured her place among the leading performers of the contemporary regional music scene.
