The Small Roman Theatre in Pula, dating back to the 1st century, is located on the slope of a hill beneath the Castle. It could accommodate between 4,000 and 5,000 spectators. The foundations of the stage building and part of the semi-circular seating are preserved, and the theatre was constructed based on the characteristics of Greek theatres. Today, it is a significant archaeological site in Pula, and in front of it stands the Archaeological Museum of Istria.
