Dvorana Tivoli is one of Ljubljana’s most important venues for sports, concerts, and public events, playing a significant role in Slovenia’s cultural and sporting life. Located in Tivoli Park, the complex opened in 1965 and was designed by architects Marjan Božič and Stanko Bloudek. It consists of two multi-purpose halls used for sporting competitions, concerts, and various large-scale events. The larger arena is primarily intended for ice hockey and major events, while the smaller hall is mainly used for basketball and other indoor sports. Over the decades, Dvorana Tivoli has hosted numerous international championships and major sporting competitions, as well as performances by globally renowned artists. Musicians such as Queen, Nirvana, David Bowie, and Rammstein have all performed at the venue. With its long tradition and diverse programme, Dvorana Tivoli remains one of Slovenia’s key gathering places for sports, music, and large cultural events.
