Plavi Orkestar is a Bosnian pop rock band formed in 1983 in Sarajevo, led by vocalist and composer Saša Lošić – Loša. Initially known as "Ševin orkestar," they soon adopted the name Plavi Orkestar. Their debut album, Soldatski bal (1985), achieved massive success, selling over 500,000 copies, making it one of the best-selling albums in the former Yugoslavia. Subsequent albums like Smrt fašizmu (1986) and Sunce na prozoru (1989) further solidified their status. After a hiatus during the 1990s, the band returned with albums Longplay (1998) and Sedam (2012). They are known for hits such as "Suada," "Bolje biti pijan nego star," and "Sava tiho teče." With over 3,500 concerts worldwide, Plavi Orkestar remains one of the most influential bands from the former Yugoslavia.
