Jala Brat

Jasmin Fazlić, who performs under the name Jala Brat, was born on October 16, 1986 in Sarajevo. Early on he gravitated toward hip-hop production in home-studio settings, later forming the collective BluntBylon and releasing tracks online. His musical identity merges trap, mumble-rap, and elements of turbo-folk, making him a distinctive voice across the Balkan scene. His career is notably defined by his long-term partnership with Buba Corelli, with whom he co-founded the label Imperia and released multiple collaborative albums. In 2016, Jala Brat made a mark internationally when he co-represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest. His lyrics often explore nightlife, fashion, ambition and the vibrant urban atmosphere of the region, while maintaining his underground roots. His approach combines experimental, transitional soundscapes—mixing analog warmth and digital beats—with accessible hooks and street-wise sensibility.
