I Prevail

I Prevail is an American rock band formed in 2013 in Southfield, Michigan. Early on, they merged metalcore and post-hardcore aggression with accessible melodies, positioning themselves at the intersection of heaviness and mainstream appeal. Their breakthrough arrived with a bold metal cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” which helped accelerate their growth and visibility. Their debut EP Heart vs. Mind laid the foundation, followed by the full-length album Lifelines in 2016. The 2019 release Trauma brought critical acclaim and award nominations, and their third album True Power (2022) expanded their sonic palette to include rap-metal, electronic flourishes, and even more dynamic contrasts. I Prevail’s signature lies in fusing harsh riffs with melodic choruses, dual vocal styles (clean and unclean), and lyrics centred on inner struggles, resilience and personal transformation.
