Artist description

Boris Novković is a Croatian singer, composer and singer-songwriter. His main expression is singer-songwriting with a pop-rock musical style.

His first album came out in 1986 under the title “Kuda idu izgubljene djevojke”. His most sold one came one year later, produced by Nikša Bratoš, under the name “Jači od sudbine”. His supporting band is called “Noćna straža”.

His new big success was the album “Ostvaren San” where he collaborated with the young producer Jerko Marić and which was a golden record in 2005, while his hit single that won the Dora competition “Vukovi umiru sami” became an absolute hit in Croatia and its neighboring countries. He was the coauthor with Franjo Valentić of the music for the song “Moja štikla” which represented Croatia on the 2006 Eurosong.

Boris Novković competed in the International festival in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur). He was a participant in almost all Croatian festivals (Popular music festival “SPLIT”, Melodies of the Croatian Adriatic Sea, Croatian radio festival, “Zagrebfest”) and winner of many awards.

He is the winner of the biggest Croatian award “Zlatne ptice” in 1999 for one million sold audio records. In 2011, he was chosen to be president of the HZSU.

He is one of the most performed Croatian authors on the Croatian national radio as well as in Croatia’s neighboring countries’ radios. He composed songs for other performers: Tatjana Matejaš Tajči, Tony Cetinski, Leteći odred, Severina, Danijela, Srebrna Krila, Giuliano, Crvena Jabuka, Kemal Monteno and many others.
