Artist description

Adastra is a young rock band from Zagreb started in 2005. The lineup is: Jerko Marić (founder, vocals, guitar), Željko Topalušić (bass guitar), Ivan Havidić (guitar), Damir Medić (drums).

Their debuting album came out in 2007 by Croatia Records label company. Their single “Nabujala rijeka” got great ratings on most Croatian radio and television stations. They promoted their album throughout Croatia.
One of their notable achievements is certainly playing as a support band for the British rock band Muse in 2007 in Dom Sportova, Zagreb.
Their song “Nabujala rijeka” has been translated into English and has been published under the name “Nina” on L.A.’s Radio Express’ compilation that is comprised of the newest hits by world famous performers. This compilation has been sent to radio stations around the world.
In 2008, Adastra released a song called “Surovi grade” (“Cruel city”) dedicated to the 17-year old Luka Ritz that had been beaten to death on the streets of Zagreb by his peers. The song became a hymn against youth violence.
In 2009, Adastra released a single called “Zašto se skrivaš?” that won second place on the yearly top hits list by the Croatian national radio. The listeners and the jury of the Croatian national radio’s programme Turky party pronounced Adastra to be the greatest band of 2009.

In March 2011, Adastra released a second album under the name “Surovi grade”. The album found itself on the first place of the most-sold albums in Croatia list. The promotion of this album took place in Zagreb on the 15th of April in Boogaloo club in front of hundreds of fans (a thousand??).

In 2012, Adastra recorded two new singles in Spanish called “Porque te escondes” and “Amor de verano”. Their last single “Samo igra” was released in October 2012.
