THE PRODIGY IS COMING TO TERRANEO 2013!
The Prodigy, Dubioza Kolektiv, Cloud Nothings, Darkwood Dub, Krankšvester and My Buddy Moose are the new names coming to Terraneo 2013

Zagreb, May 14th, 2013 – Terraneo 2013 is proud to announce the new package of this year’s performers that will shake the whole of Šibenik and make it dance. The leading name is one of the most important names in the history of electronic dance music - The Prodigy! This British band, along with Fatboy Slim and the Chemical Brothers, forms the holy trinity of the so-called big beat, sub-genre of electronic dance music. We feel free to call them a favourite of the area. The Prodigy have sold over 25 million albums throughout their career and won numerous awards; winning at the Brit Awards, MTV Video Music Awards - three times, the MTV Europe Music Awards - five times and have also earned two Grammy nominations.
With nineteen released singles, many have stormed up the world’s music charts and club podiums, including "Charly", "Out of Space", "Smack My Bitch Up", "Voodoo People", "No Good (Start the Dance)" "Breathe," "Firestarter" etc. They have also released a total of five studio albums and two compilations. Typical of a band which makes energetic music and dance hits, their live performances are a real burst of energy, something that still lingers in the memory even after the morning hangover...
“We can finally say that a long process of negotiations and ratification of the Prodigy appearance at Terraneo 2013 was one of the main reasons for the delay with this year's performer announcements. Thankfully, that is now behind us and we're looking forward to this legendary band providing a fantastic performance, as yet unseen in Šibenik,” said festival spokesman Luka Pavić.

Besides Prodigy, another regional star joined the Terraneo 2013 line-up, Dubioza Kolektiv, who will make their comeback at Terraneo. We also have the American indie rock band from Cleveland, Cloud Nothings, Serbian underground cult band Darkwood Dub and Croatian rap punk duo Krankšvester, as well as the excellent local Americana band My Buddy Moose.

So, the confirmed names for Terraneo 2013 are: The Prodigy, My Bloody Valentine, Azealia Banks, Calexico, Dubioza Kolektiv, The Bots, Cloud Nothings, Darkwood Dub, Kawasaki 3p, Postolar Tripper, My Buddy Moose, Krankšvester, Svi na Pod and Icarus Down.

ABOUT OTHER PERFORMERS FOM THIS PRESS RELEASE

Following a great performance at the first Terraneo Festival, Dubioza Kolektiv, from the neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, is coming back. This band is known for their fresh take on hip-hop, reggae, dub, rock and Bosnian folklore. They established themselves as one of the best and most popular live outfits in Eastern Europe, and are notorious leaders in the fight for social change in the region. They forged their musical skills in basement shelters during the siege of Sarajevo, so these guys know more than anyone how to use music as a weapon against the forces of negativity. The party for the release of their fourth album, “Firma Ilegal”, took place in front of the Bosnian Parliament building, in a powerful statement against government corruption, which garnered massive coverage in the national press. "Blam Blam", a song from their album "5-12” has become the unofficial anthem of today’s youth in this area. Recently, the band released a new album titled "Apsurdistan", which is the generic name for a dystopian state where everything borders on absurdity.

Cloud Nothings is an American indie rock band from Cleveland, Ohio, which consists of vocalist and guitarist Baldi, drummer Jayson Gerycz, guitarist Joe Boyer and bassist TJ Duke. The band was founded in 2009 by singer-songwriter Dylan Baldi as one of several of his virtual MySpace bands/projects through which he tested the reaction of online audiences to his musical work. With his first EP "Turning On", Baldi interested publishers and promoters, so the Cloud Nothings from MySpace became a serious, acclaimed and prolific band that has so far released three studio albums, with the fourth ("Body Music") being released later this year. The band’s second second album, "Cloud Nothings", rated 7.9/10 on Pitchfork and NME gave it 7/10. Their third album, "Attack on Memory", was the first album in 2012 which achieved Best New Music status on Pitchfork with a score of 8.6/10 - this is yet another good reason to eagerly await Cloud Nothings at this year's Terraneo.

Darkwood Dub was formed in 1988 in Belgrade. During their first few years, the band experimented, producing a fusion of reggae and dub music with guitars and associative and emotional texts. Until the release of their first album Paramparčad (1994), Darkwood Dub were the most popular underground band in Belgrade, playing in front of capacity crowds of fanatical fans. Život počinje u tridesetoj, released in 2002, was the bestselling album of the year, and was also voted the best album of the year by music critics. The tour that followed was the most extensive in the history of the group and included more than 20 cities in Serbia, and many cities in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, the UK and Austria. In 2009 the band was nominated for best regional performers at the MTV Europe Awards. Today, Darkwood Dub is one of the best bands on the Serbian rock scene.

My Buddy Moose are returning to Terraneo from Rijeka. They have been on the scene since 2004 and are inspired by American rock and Americana music. In 2006 they released their first studio album. Their third album, released this year and recorded live in the studio, can be characterized as harder, closer to the garage rock and power-pop music, as band members themselves say. Basically, all three of their studio albums garnered the acclaim of critics and music lovers, among which are some of the most important people from the world of rock music. Specifically, My Buddy Moose can boast of their collaboration with Howe Gelb from the cult band Giant Sand, and their music also attracted Chris Eckman from the influential proto-Americana band The Walkabouts, who produced their new album, My Buddy Moose. The reputation of them being an excellent live band was reinforced with their performances at many solo concerts and Festivals, including the first Terraneo.

Sett and 3kiStyle form the rap punk duo Krankšvester from Osijek. The pride of Slavonia and the two most venomous tongues of eastern Croatia recently released their second studio album, simply titled "Krankšvester" which, like its predecessor, can be downloaded for free. Several big favourites from the new album like "Zauvijek u klubu", "Disco rak", "Moj kurac je odavno prekinuo s tobom" and "Nakon šore" (one of the best Croatian music videos last year) are the hits at their concerts as Krankšvester immediately started with performances both at home and abroad. Their current tour is called "Pelcujem ti muf zauvijek u klubu".
