She looks irresistibly reminiscent of a young Bob Dylan, which completely complements her timeless lyrics with an attitude that have long since won the hearts of the whole world. She is an American singer-songwriter of Italian descent, who is said to be like a continuous collection of uniqueness: from the non-standard look with the same curls, sunglasses and cross earring, to a unique performance of songs with deep lyrics, powerful vocals, artistic whistling and dreamy ukulele sounds .
Unrestricted by genre, the multi-platinum singer-songwriter, with more than 3 billion streams to her name, has created a powerful sound that she faithfully follows. Her YouTube channel, which has more than 4.3 million subscribers, currently has more than a million views per day, and her songs are streamed monthly by more than 7 million listeners worldwide. Her soulful lyrics can reveal an intimate truth in one breath and ostentatiously flip the middle finger the next. Either way, the LP has a rare character that consistently connects with audiences without filter or judgment. With each record release, he builds on an oeuvre that is full of complexity, truth and self-discovery.
Laura Pergolizzi's biography begins on Long Island, where she was born in the spring of 1981. She rarely talks about her youth in interviews, but she mentioned that as a child she was very ashamed of her voice and preferred to sing with the lawnmower or vacuum cleaner on so no one could hear her. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York, began using the pseudonym LP, and that's when her career as a singer-songwriter in the rock group she assembled began. The uniqueness of her voice was quickly noticed, but her entrance to the world music stage began in 2014, when LP released her debut album "Forever for Now", from which the most famous hit "Into the Wild" is by far. Two years later, with the album "Lost on You", she conquered the world with the title track, which also bears the name of the album. The break-up anthem reached number one on the charts in 18 countries, and the follow-up single "Muddy Waters" was used in the fourth season finale of the hit Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. She continued to record success with each new song. To date, she has released three EPs and six albums, the last of which "Churches" broke all previous records.
Known for their stunning live performances, LP is a true worldwide concert attraction. In more than 125 cities worldwide, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Greece, Israel, Turkey, Italy, France and the UK, she regularly sells between 2,500 and 10,000 tickets. LP remains one of the few American artists who can sell out large venues in more than 20 countries around the world. As well as being a global singing star, LP is also the creative force behind some of the biggest songs of the last decade - writing hits for Rihanna, Cher, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera and the Backstreet Boys.
For the millions of fans around the world who already know and love LP, she wants to continue touring and making good music, and for those who are not yet in the know, welcome to Split in a month at Prokurative, where this American acclaimed artist will once again prove why tickets are always requested for her concerts, and at the performance itself and after the encore, the audience always asks for at least one more song to enjoy the incredible power of the vocals and the magical interpretation of this unique star.
