On June 24th, Marilyn Manson is coming to Linz’ Intersportarena. A phenomenon resisting all concrete description, Manson is one of the most controversial musicians of the 90s and a personification of extremes: idolized by many, detested by some, and never fully understood by most people. One thing, however, is indisputable: Marilyn Manson’s shows are superlative.

Asked in a 2007 Rolling Stone interview about the task of the artist in contemporary society, the shock rocker laughingly answered: "We're idealistic people who want to spend our time putting ideas into the world, which ends up fucking us over. I hate to play the martyr, but someone has to." It’s Manson’s artistic vocation that makes him so interesting and that makes us shiver. To reduce him to his provocative live shows would be to miss the point – Manson is an all-rounder, an exceptional artist, musician, photographer, absinthe-brewer and painter, who also impresses with color and brush.

In the course of the tour, the master will present his brand-new album with the catchy and portentous title “The High End of Low.”
