Elton John and band are preparing for a unique concert on June 19 in the Tips Arena Linz.
Almost 15 years ago, on June 22, 1995 – the last time the pop icon visited Upper Austria –, he played on the harness racing track in Wels, inspiring more than 25000 visitors. Elton John was knighted and given the title “Sir” by Queen Elizabeth II, and he has sold more than 570 million albums and 320 million singles. He has written numerous world hits: "I'm Still Standing", "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me", "Crockodile Rock", "Don’t Go Breaking My Heart", "Nikita", and many more.
Equally unforgettable is "Candle In The Wind", the song the superstar, who was a personal friend of Lady Diana, sang at her funeral at Westminster Abbey in 1997.
